Beautification Enforcement area

Beautification Area

Here in Japan beauty is important. SO important in fact that they are willing to enforce it!

These signs were everywhere in kyoto, beats the no littering signs any day.

“You will be find” – classic. Nice of them to provide an Engrish translation, though. How much is 30,000 yen?

Yup, actually kyoto was a pretty easy city to navigate. Most of the busses, have roman characters on their signs, which is common for trains but almost never seen on busses. Some of the busses even had english language announcements. Unfortunately not all of them were in perfect english.

oh, and 30,000 yen is about $300. The exchange rate is always changing but usually it is pretty close to 1 yen equals 1 cent.
