Young at Heart

Danielle on Slide

When we were visiting Osaka, we stayed at a hostel that was in the middle of a major park with some pretty awesome playgrounds. These are playgrounds that put playgrounds in America to shame. Clearly they have not been sued yet because a young child got injured on the equipment.

Aaron was eyeing up the slides right away. Unfortunately, we were rolling in at about 15 minutes before hostel curfew, so we didn’t have any time to spare playing around in the park. But, we knew we wouldn’t be able to leave without giving it a try.

The most exciting features of the park, by far, were two super-huge slides. Imagine the largest slide at your local neighborhood park and then multiply it by at least four or five. They were amazing. Bigger than the “Big Slide” I remember riding at our local state fair, and these ones were free!

The child in all of us came out immediately as we climbed up the rock wall to the top of the slide.

Then, we let all our inhibitions go and rode down with our hands up, squealing “Wheeee” just like children.

It was fun!
