Decapitated

Decapitated

When we toured Ogaki castle over the weekend there was a little miniature reproduction of the castle and surrounding areas when they were under seige. My favorite part of the whole display, however, were the little miniature decapitated men lying by the side of the river. Somehow that level of detail, and realism, sort of surprised me.

But where are the heads? What did they do with the heads?

You would have loved my collection of plastic army men after my dog got finished with them!

The heads…..now that is an interesting question. I have no idea about where the heads have gone. They weren’t anywhere near the bodies. These japanese can be strange people, I wouldn’t be surprised if they had some sort of weird custom about the removal and disposal of decapitated plastic figurine heads. Just to be respectful, and all.

What is it with dogs and little plastic dolls/toys? For some people it is army dolls, for others it is barbies. And let us not speak of what my dog did with all the things he found in the bathroom garbage can . . .
